Located on Glassop Street, Elkington Park is a beautiful waterfront park that offers a wide range of recreational activities for the whole family. While the panoramic view of the harbour is arguably one of the greatest features of the park, there are plenty of other distinct features that make Elkington Park a must-see for first-time visitors. Some of the other notable attractions and features include the Dawn Fraser Baths which happens to be Australia’s oldest pool, a 1936 bandstand, well-maintained gardens, a large children’s playground, resting benches, picnic areas, and so much more. Elkington Park has also become a popular spot for bird-watching enthusiasts.

Second on the list is Gladstone Park, a state-of-the-art recreational facility that boasts of being home to some incredible sports facility and kid’s play equipment. Although the park has earned its reputation as one of the best parks in Sydney, its strategic location on Balmain’s busiest shopping districts has also greatly contributed to its popularity.
